Understanding
your symptoms
The future of women’s health starts now
Let’s talk about the luteal phase!
90% of women of reproductive age experience some form of premenstrual symptoms.
During the luteal phase, before menstruation, the fluctuating hormone levels can bring about some pretty undesirable symptoms including headaches, bloating and acne. Depending on the severity and other factors, these can be attributed to a premenstrual disorder.
Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) is when such symptoms occur every menstrual cycle, during the luteal/late-luteal phase.
Premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) is a more severe form of PMS.
