clear skin bundle

What makes the product special

You can’t do anything externally against hormonal acne and blemished skin? Oh yes, you definitely can!

Hormonal or stress-related acne, spots and skin blemishes are caused by a hormonal imbalance, but they are also always linked to a disrupted skin barrier. Skincare can offer lasting support here!

fenou’s hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic skincare innovation, clear skin, targets this precisely by promoting the natural repair of the skin barrier.

fenou’s cream uses advanced OLT® technology, which imitates the natural barrier structure of healthy skin and supports regeneration by promoting the formation of the skin’s own ceramides and free fatty acids. Through a combination of glycyrrhetinic acid, niacinamide, capryloyl salicylic acid and a range of antioxidants, our cream provides immediate relief, promotes skin renewal and protects against environmental stressors.

fenou’s cleansing foam cleanses gently and effectively without disrupting the skin barrier. Aloe vera and hyaluronic acid provide hydration and help counter dryness, while zinc PCA stabilises and soothes the skin microbiome. With a pH of 5.0 to 5.5, the foam supports the skin’s natural acid mantle and promotes a healthy complexion.

What is meant by acne in adults?

Adult acne (acne tarda) refers to the form of acne that appears in adulthood. It often occurs for the first time independently of puberty, usually from the age of 20. The causes are varied. Hormonal or genetic factors may be involved, but stress, an unfavourable diet, environmental influences and skincare habits also affect the development and severity of acne. Externally, adult acne appears mainly on the cheeks, the lower chin area and around the mouth. Because adult acne responds less effectively to conventional acne skincare and can lead to scarring and pigmentation, it is important to choose skincare that supports the skin barrier as well as possible.

What can be done for hormonal acne?

Acne in adults is partly triggered by hormonal factors. On the one hand, an imbalance in androgen levels has a negative effect on the skin. Oestrogen deficiency may also promote hormonal acne. These causes must be balanced from within. Chronic stress leads to the release of stress hormones such as cortisol — and stress hormones influence sebum production. So what helps with hormonal acne? Reducing stress is key. Nutrition should not be neglected either. A high glycaemic load leads to the release of hormones involved in carbohydrate metabolism, which further increase sebum production.

How should acne products work?

Skincare for acne should be specifically adapted to the needs of acne-prone skin. Make sure your skincare:

  • promotes skin regeneration, ideally with biomimetic technologies such as OLT®, which stimulate the body’s own ceramide production

  • provides hydration without being occlusive

  • is anti-inflammatory and contains ingredients that support healing

  • works antimicrobially against harmful bacteria to support a balanced skin microbiome

  • contains antioxidants to counter stress and environmental free radicals

  • regulates sebum and helps prevent pore blockages
